The NSS operates to benefit both students and society in a variety of ways. NSS assists students in growing both individually and as a group. It helps students to gain confidence, develop leadership skills, and to learn about people from various walks of life. At present there is one unit functioning effectively in the institution, 3 members and 100 volunteers.
Regular activities and special campaign programmes raise social awareness in the minds of young students who will be the future pillars of our mother India. A nearby village (Govindapuram) is adopted, and the students are given ample opportunities to volunteer by organising a 7-days special camp.
The overarching goal of National Service is to serve extensively for the growth and development of the nation through a predetermined pattern of education and to orient students toward voluntary service. This method of education helps students grow intellectually, morally, and spiritually, and instils a spontaneous social consciousness to serve society and contribute to the betterment of the nation and national integration, as well as to become responsible individuals.
