Introduction

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) is the most vital constituent of its mother society, Indian Red Cross Society. The motto of YRC is "to serve". Its mission is to provide relief during disasters and emergencies, as well as to promote health and care for the vulnerable. The YRC Society motivates the students to understand the need for social and community service. Almost 60 volunteers from our College's YRC are actively involved in social service activities. The YRC also organizes first aid training programmes, blood donation camps, social welfare awareness programmes, rallies, health awareness talks, disaster management training programmes, and observation of important days.

Objectives

• To develop leadership quality among the students.
• To encourage the students to extend their humanitarian services to the society.
• To enable the growth and development of, spirit of service and sense of duty with dedication and devotion in the minds of youth.
• To inculcate the awareness of health care of individual and public.
• To enhance the technological prop up in the programmes, fund raisers, detection of materials and human resources.
